January 2007 News
This is the written account of Adam’s line. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female and blessed them. And when they were created, he called them “man.” (Genesis 5:1-2) Although we have parents from whom we were brought to life, we all originally come from God. We as believers must not follow the world but look toward God and be like Him so we may conquer the world and lead it to Him. I pray that our Richmond children will grow as the leaders of the future world.
Following is the information for January 2007.
Nursery (0 - 1years) - You may follow the service through the TV. (room#209)
Toddler (1 - 2 years) - Teacher HwangOhk Kang (room#214)
Due to the fact that teacher HwangOhk Kang will give birth in the middle of February, parents will take care of their toddlers in turns.
Pre-Kinder (2 - Kinder) - worship: room#125
2 years - Teacher SukJin Kim, Hannah Chung (room#125)
3 years - Teacher BoKyung Kim (room#129)
4 years - Teacher MinKyung Kim (Room#126)
Kinder - Teacher YoonChang Lee, SoonYi Kim (Room#128)
a. Worship service is from 10:30 to 11:10am. After worship, there is Bible study according to age group.
b. After worship program - after Bible study, from 12:00 to 1:00pm, our Sunday school provides Korean lesson and crafts while the parents are attending Bible study. Please make sure your child is in class before you go to your small group. There are no after-programs during the last week of the month due to men and women's ministry meetings.
Elementary (1st - 5th) - worship: room#211

2nd grade - Jeen Cha, Erin Kang (room#202, 211)

a. Worship service and Bible study are from 10:30 to 12:00pm. Worship is a very important factor in our children's lives. Please try to bring your child on time, and encourage your child to bring a Bible. NIV(New International Version) is recommended. Please write your child's name on both the front and back of the Bible.
b. The Bible verse memorization tournament will be on April 15th. Please have your child memorize one verse a week. I have attached the Bible verses.
c. Our children will decorate the worship room on the first and second Sunday of January from 12:00 - 1:00pm.
d. The 'Promise Land' Choir will resume on January 14thfrom 12:00 - 1:00pm at room 211.
Others
a. Wednesday Service - HwangOhk Kang will take care of the children at room 214 while you attend Wednesday service.
b. Since our Sunday school has many activities during the year, we would be happy to receive the following donations:
Popcorn, Juice boxes, cookies, Thick Markers, Black and Red Sharpies, CDs, CD Cases, Colored Paper, Adult-size Scissors, Poster Boards, Glue sticks
c. Our children's Sunday school needs teachers and assistant teachers for preschool, choir, activities and decorations. If you want to volunteer, please let me know.

부모님들께,
아담 자손의 계보가 이러하니라. 하나님이 사람을 창조하실 때에 하나님의 형상대로 지으시되 남자와 여자를 창조하셨고 그들이 창조되던 날에 하나님이 그들에게 복을 주시고 그들의 이름을 사람이라 일컬으셨더라 (창세기 5:1-2) 우리를 태어나게 한 부모가 있듯이, 모든 사람은 처음에 하나님께로 왔습니다. 우리 믿는자는 세상을 쫓아사는 사람이 아니라, 하나님을 바라보고, 하나님을 닮아가며, 이 세상을 주님께로 인도하고 정복하는 자입니다. 올해에도 우리 유년주일학교 어린이들이 멀리 미래를 바라보며 달려가는 정복자로 또한 승리자로 자라길 기도합니다.
다음은 1월달에 있을 유년주일학교 상황입니다.
영아부 (0 세-1 세) - 아이와 함께 TV 모니터로 예배를 드립니다.(209 호)
유아부 (1 세-2 세) - 강 향옥 사모님께서 2월중에 셋째 아이를 출산하시는 관계로 당분간 부모님들이 돌아가며 아이들을 돌봅니다.
유치부 (2 세-Kinder) - 예배:125 호
2 살반 - 김 석진, 정 한나(125 호)
3 살반 - 김 보경(129 호)
4 살반 - 김 민 경(126 호)
Kinder- 이 윤창, 김 순이(128 호)
a. 예배는 10:30 분에 125 호실에서 있으며 예배후11:10 분부터 12:00 시까지 각 나이별로 성경공부를 합니다.
b. 에프터 프로그램 - 예배후 12:00 시 부터 1:00 시까지 125 호실에서 한글 학습과 그와 관련된공작이 있습니다. 부모님들께서는 성경공부에 들어가시기 전에 아이들이 다 참석하는지 확인해 주시기 바랍니다. 매달말 월례회가 있을경우는 에프터 프로그램이 없습니다.

a. 예배와 성경공부가 10:30 분부터 12:00 시까지 있습니다. 예배는 가장 중요합니다. 우리 아이들이 예배를 배울수 있도록 늦지 않게 보내 주시기 바랍니다. 성경책을 가지고 올 수 있도록 도와주시기 바랍니다. 성경은 미국에서 보편화된 NIV(New International Version)을 권하며 앞뒤에 모두 이름을 기입해 주셔서 잃어버리지 않도록 도와주십시오.
b. 성경암송대회가 4월 15일에 있을 예정입니다. 아이들이 성경구절을 1주일에 1구절씩 외우도록 도와 주시기 바랍니다. 암송구절을 첨부합니다.
c. 1월 첫째주와 둘째주에는 12:00시부터 1:00시까지 초등부 예배당을 아이들과 선생님과 함께 장식합니다.
d. 초등부 찬양대 '프라미스 랜드'가 1월 14일부터 다시 12:00시부터 1:00까지 연습이 있습니다.
기타 사항
a. 수요예배 - 214 호실에서 강 향옥 사모님께서 0 세부터 5 학년까지 돌봐 주시고 계십니다.
b. 다음 항목들은 유년주일학교에서 여러가지 행사와 에프터 프로그램으로 인하여 항상 쓰는 물품들입니다. 도네이션을 부탁드립니다.
